Subject: That's entirely up to you, but she won't have a chance at the big glitz pageants if she dosent have her modeling. You can take her to the ones that don't worry about the modeling. Just trying to save you some money. Some judges will deduct points for coaching behind them if they are older than three. I don't mean to hurt your feelings, just trying to help.
In reply to: 's message, "I would not attend a pageant that didn't allow me to give my daughter a little help offstage. She is just a child. No matter what the event, she is just a child trying to have fun and she counts on mommy to be there for her. If she is up on that huge stage and gets stuck, I will not just sit back and let her be humiliated. I will help her if I can." on 15:17:30 10/18/07 Thu

[> [> [> [> [> I think ALL pageants rate modeling whether they list it or not!! In the small hometown pageants they disguise this as "stage presense" My dd has been in several small pageants and will have the best dress one great natural photogenic pics and not win b/c maybe the age grp is say 3-5 and she's just turned 3 and the girl that wins is say a week or two from turning 6, that's a 3 year gap and of course the older girl would have better modeling skills!! The older girl will almost always win no matter what the dress b/c she's old enough to understand eye contact and slow graceful turns!! I've had my dd beat many times by these older girls with flat hair and bad cheap out of date dresses just b/c they can walk really good!! Don't be fooled by judging on "stage presence" b/c this really means modeling!! I'm just talking about small pageants though!! -- Anonymous, 21:05:53 10/19/07 Fri [1]
