- `HITLER' CHENEY IS DETERMINED TO GET HIS NEW WAR -

As {EIR} has documented consistently, including in this week's
article by Jeffrey Steinberg, at no point in recent history has
there been so much high-level diplomacy aimed at averting world
war. Yet, every effort is running up against a berserker Dick
Cheney, operating on behalf of the Anglo-Dutch financier cabal
that is desperate to save its bankrupt system, through
dictatorship and permanent war.

Commenting on these developments last night, Lyn noted that
Cheney is acting like the Hitler character he is. Those who are
soft on him -- like Nancy Pelosi and the current leadership of
the Congress -- are giving Hitler a green light.

One of the major fronts in the British-run Cheney operations
to provoke war is in Kurdistan, where the Turks themselves have
exposed the fact that the U.S. and Iraqis have supplied weapons
to the PKK. This separatist activity is a deliberate effort to
spark war in one of the most explosive areas of the world, as
leading Russian political figure Yevgeni Primakov is also
pointing out. Intensive diplomacy is going on in the area to try
to stop the explosion. See LaRouche's statement on this
provocation below.

As LaRouche has insisted, the pathway to averting the war
danger, as well as the devastation being caused by the ongoing
financial/economic, lies in {mass} organizing--bringing the lower
80% of the income brackets the nature of the solution, and
inspiring them to {force} Congress to move on the HBPA, and what
stands in the way -- specifically Pelosi, and Cheney. We have
intensified the LPAC offensive on the City Council level all
around the country, and will soon have the webcast pamphlet
available to feed this process. There must be no deviations into
Baby Boomer pessimism, or MySpace unreality. Britain's new Hitler
cannot be allowed to succeed.

- Is Goebbels on Your Laptop? -

Lyn warned yesterday: We are facing a mass-based fascist
movement among the youth of this country, being organized through
operations on the campuses and universities. This is the kind of
operation which we documented last year, with Her Ladyship Lynne
Cheney, but it is now on the increase, ever since Microsoft
bought out Facebook.
Facebook is a graveyard with pictures; MySpace is a
graveyard without pictures, owned by Murdoch, a kangaroo without
a tail; and the computer-based video games induce youth to commit
suicide or kill their friends. The three of these have created a
mass-based fascist movement among youth, which overlaps with the
Campus Gestapo.
This has created a generation with millions of people who
are drop-outs from reality. They've decided to live outside of
reality: they are functionally insane! Someone who is deeply
involved in this stuff has decided to completely withdraw from
society. They are not in reality, but they are capable of
impacting reality, from outside reality.
Get at the basics of the thing up front. If there is a man
who rapes cats in your neighborhood, you don't need to try to
figure out how he rapes them. First, raise the alarm! There's a
cat-rapist on the loose! Keep your cats inside!
Lately, there has been an outbreak of cannibalism worldwide.
Maybe these are interfaced. It's not been rapid, but there has
been a slow and steady increase of cannibalism. Maybe this will
be the next wave: instead of killing your friends and then
burying them in a virtual tomb on MySpace, maybe you can eat them
instead.
As reported from Detroit, today -- a campus squad led with
the MySpace cult all day. An organizer confronted a young man,
who had immense trouble focusing "Listen, the reason you can't
concentrate on anything I am saying, is that you are addicted to
video games!" And the young man replied, "You know what? I've
noticed that!"
Steinberg commented -- If we hadn't run a campaign to expose
the counter-culture in the 60's and 70's, we, as an organization,
wouldn't have recruited shit.

More Russian Attention To LaRouche On British Empire vs. USA

Oct. 29 (LPAC)--The website of the Anti-Globalist
Resistance, a Russian movement, has posted its own dispatch on
Lyndon LaRouche's October 10 webcast, under the headline, "Save
the American Republic from the British Empire!" The editors
write:
"In connection with the now unfolding financial crisis,
which the well-known economist and politician, several-time
candidate for the U.S. Presidency Lyndon LaRouche has forecast
for some time, he gave a three-hour Internet webcast on his
vision of the situation.
"LaRouche recalled that in January 2001, at the beginning of
the George W. Bush administration, he had forecast the
inevitability of a collapse of the dollar system, and said that
acts of terror could be committed in an attempt to avert this.
And, as everybody knows, an act of terror, which LaRouche
believes had some internal underpinning from within the U.S.
government, did occur on Sept. 11 of that year. Subsequent events
showed that Vice President Dick Cheney, who is guided by British
influences, was behind the Bush war policy.
"Continuing along that line, the USA has not only landed in
a real estate crisis that is catastrophic for the majority of the
population, but it risks being pulled into yet another military
adventure - this time in Iran. LaRouche thinks that the solution
is impeachment."
Anti-glob.ru provides a link to full coverage of the webcast
in English, in {EIR} magazine. At the same time, LaRouche's
RPMonitor.ru interview, given in May and published at the end of
September, continues to proliferate on Russian websites, under
the headline, "The Threat Comes from London." [RBD]

British Imperial ``Kurdistan'' Game Could Trigger ``Unstoppable''
War

October 29 (LPAC)--With 100,000 Turkish troops amassed on the
border with Iraq, over the repeated Kurdish terrorist incursions
into Turkey, and killings of Turkish soldiers, protected by the
U.S. occupation of Iraq, and the regional Kurdish government,
could lead to an ``unstoppable'' war, commented Lyndon LaRouche
today. Threatening to create the ``Kurdistan'' of the post-World
War I Sykes-Picot era is ``a war issue. It's British entirely,
this time--the French are not involved. But Cheney is.''
LaRouche added, ``Breaking up these countries, like the
partitioning of Iraq, and creating of Kurdistan out of pieces of
Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria, etc. {is} the British imperial policy,
and it should be denounced as such. There is an imperial power
behind this, and it is Britain.''
Syria, Turkey and Iran are naturally involved together and
stopping this separatist terrorist game, noted LaRouche, because
that is not really a new thing. That was the basic long-term
policy worked out by Turkish nationalist founder Mustafa Kemal
Ataturk, with Syria. And Russia supported that {against} the
British imperialists. The British didn't like it then--or now.

Pennsylvania Elected Officials Punt on LaRouche's HBPA

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 29 (LPAC)--LPAC spokesman Phil Valenti brought
the only reality to a press conference convened by Gov. Ed
Rendell today at Philadelphia City Hall to deal with the home
foreclosure crisis facing the city and state, by raising
LaRouche's HBPA as the first question. Joining the Governor were
Mayor John Street of Philadelphia; Congressman Chaka Fattah;
State Rep. Peter Daley (Chair of the House Commerce Committee);
Steven Kaplan, Rendell' s Secretary of Banking; Brian Hudson,
Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency;
and J. William Mills, president of PNC Bank.
The officials announced their support for the new HERO
(Homeowners Equity Recovery Opportunity Program), with Rendell
explaining that the city of Philadelphia is committing $1 million
(sic) of Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI) bond
proceeds to the program, while PNC Bank is LENDING the state $5
million at "a very good interest rate"!! The state will then
re-lend the money to homeowners at a higher interest rate and
make a profit, which will be set aside as a loan loss reserve.
Rendell seemed embarrassed to admit right off the bat that
the program will help only 500 families statewide (including 200
in Philadelphia), saying that there are 200,000 subprime
mortgages in the state, 15% of which are already delinquent and
75,000 adjustable rate mortages (ARMs) about to reset. That
means that the estimated number of delinquent mortgages from just
these two categories will easily surpass 60,000 during 2008.
Before opening for questions, Rendell said he "anticipated"
a cynical response from the media, since the program will at most
only help 500 families, but asserted that he "eventually" wanted
to expand the program to help thousands of people, and then
admitted that "the folks in Washington will have to come to our
aid."
Rendell called on Valenti (known to him and the other
elected officials as the LaRouche representative) for the first
question. Valenti asked: "Governor Rendell has raised the
question of federal action. Given the magnitude of the crisis,
don't you think we need sweeping federal action modeled on the
successful policies of FDR, such as a national moratorium on home
foreclosures, allowing homeowners to stay in their homes while
paying affordable monthly payments for the duration of the
crisis, and protecting the federal and state chartered banks,
since losses to the banking system may reach trillions of
dollars, while prohibiting any hyperinflationary bailout for the
hedge funds, which economist Lyndon LaRouche calls the Homeowners
and Bank Protection Act?"
Rendell answered Valenti by saying: Yes, a federal solution
is needed, action is needed on the federal level right now; and
then called Phildelphia Congressman Fatah to discuss what
Congress is doing. Fatah did admit that the Dodd and Frank
proposals were oriented only to stopping future problems, and
that "we need to rescue people now," given that mortgage
foreclosures are at a 54-year high, but then proceeded to
announce his own "emergency foreclosure relief program"
(legislation which he has submitted to the Financial Services
Committee, which calls for establishing a program to assist
homeowners experiencing "unavoidable, temporary difficulty making
payments on mortgages insured under the National Housing Act.").
State Representative Daley also, after noting that the situation
is catastrophic, with 11,000 foreclosures expected this year,
said the legislature has a six-pack of bills that will be voted
out of the House next month, including to deal with unscrupulous
mortgage brokers. (Daley had signed the Pennsylvania resolution
calling for the HBPA, but withdrew under pressure.)
Valenti distributed the HBPA and copies of the James
resolution to the 50-60 people there, with almost everyone happy
to receive it, except for Mills of PNC Bank, who said
disdainfully, "We don'tneed help." (rja)

- LET'S ORGANIZE IN A MANNER WORTHY OF THE LEGACY OF SCHILLER -

{Here is Helga Zepp-LaRouche's briefing to the European locals,
Oct. 29, 2007.}

Good morning: We have indeed, a very, very dramatic
situation, and I think the biggest bombshell which dropped in the
last couple of days, is Lyn's calling the resignation of Nancy
Pelosi. Now, if you look at what this woman has done, in terms
of blocking any initiatives--putting the impeachment issue "off
the table," and this in the face of the situation where the signs
that a war against Iran is pending almost by the minute; also in
terms of building up of a new "Cuba missile crisis" which Putin
has been warning about again, in respect to the ballistic missile
defense systems in Eastern Europe; and naturally the meltdown of
the financial system, which Pelosi has done absolutely nothing to
stop and obviously not enacted Lyn's Homeowners and Bank
Protection Act, so all of this makes very, very that Lyn is
absolutely on the mark that this woman has to go. Because it is
very clear--and this has been confirmed by a lot of background
research--that she is an asset of the Kennedy machine, and the
Kennedy machine has adopted Schwarzenegger as their new
standard-bearer, since none of the Kennedys is suitable for the
function. And that means that they are indeed being the stepping
stone for Giuliani to win the 2008 election. And I will go
through immediately what this Giuliani would represent. He would
be competing very, very hard with Cheney for who would be the
biggest war-monger, and it would be the end of civilization.
So therefore, Lyn's intervention to use the sentiment in the
Democratic Party, and in the Congress, and all these Congressmen
are completely aware of the fact that the fact that they lost
popularity in less than a year, from 70% when they had a
landslide victory in the November election last year, to less
than 11% now, obviously means that any incumbent Congressman will
have an almost zero chance to win the election, and therefore
they will be responsive to Lyn's call for the ouster of Pelosi.
Well, it's very difficult to say which crisis deserves to be
mentioned first, because they're all getting wilder and wilder,
but let me just start with the immediate danger of the Iran war,
because that is top on the agenda. Now, Cheney, over the Oct.
20-21 weekend, again, at the annual conference of the Washington
Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) was pushing for military
strikes against Iran, and he was only outdone, or echoed, by
Norman Podhoretz, the key campaign advisor of Giuliani for the
Presidential campaign, and he made similar, absolutely bellicose
statements to the {Daily Telegraph}: Where he said, basically,
there is only the choice to either let Iran have the bomb, or
bomb them now ourselves; that if we bomb them now, it would at
least set them back 5 or 10 years, and this would be very easy,
with sophisticated bunker-busting bombs. He said: "Unlike a
ground invasion, where you've got to mass hundreds of thousands
of troops, it takes six months and everybody knows you're
mobilizing, with air strikes, we've got three carriers in the
region and a lot of submarines, I would say it would take five
minutes. You'd wake up one morning and the strikes would have
been ordered and carried out during the night. All the President
has to do is say go."
Now, obviously, this is the same kind of insanity, and if
you look at the other advisors of Giuliani, it is all the
hard-core neo-cons--Daniel Pipes and such types. And you can
really see that this is the shadow government of the neo-cons.
And unfortunately, Nancy Pelosi, by saying "impeachment is off
the table" and similar things, she is indeed, trying to ensure
the Democrats will lose.
Now the fact that the situation around the Iran war is
getting so obvious: For example, in the last couple of days, the
White House stuck an emergency funding request in to equip B2
stealth bombers to be able to carry the "Big Blu" bomb, which
they tested over the spring in New Mexico. This is the largest
conventional weapon, also called "the Mother of All Bombs," which
weighs 30,000 lbs and carries 6,000 lbs of high explosives, which
they detonated in a tunnel to test its bunker buster capability.
So, you take that and the additional talk by Bush about a
possible Third World War, Cheney threatening "serious
consequences" against Iran, it should not be surprising that the
London Times yesterday quoted a high level Pentagon official
saying, Cheney "is signaling that he will do it."
That has freaked out the German government to the extent,
that they have sent a warning to the Bush Administration, not to
go for a military strike. And Foreign Minister Steinmeier at the
SDP party congress, said, "The daily babbling complicates efforts
to find a solution." For a foreign minister to use this word
"babbling" about what the U.S. government is saying, shows that
the relations are really strained and the nerves are taught,
which is adequate in light of the danger of a war. Even the
spokesman for the CDU Pollens said that a "strike against Iran
would lead to an out-of-control chain-reaction. And even
so-called surgical strikes against Iranian targets would threaten
the security and stability of the whole world." And then, which
is also very unusual for a CDU politician, he denounced the U.S.
duplicity, which demands that U.S. allies follow its sanctions
against Iran, while the United States via a third country, is
continuing to trade with Iran; and then he named Coca-Cola,
Pepsi-Cola, and (quote) "not to even mention Halliburton"--so
obviously in reference to Cheney's role as former CEO of
Halliburton.
That this is all leading to a really wild situation in the
military is underlined by the fact that Gen. Wesley Clark, a
retired four-star general and former Presidential candidate, was
speaking before the National Council of U.S.-Arab Relations, and
said that what the neo-cons have done is to use Sept. 11th as a
political coup d'etat, imposing a new strategy without debate,
without Congressional authorization. And then he remembered a
discussion from 1991, after Desert Storm, where Wolfowitz already
had told him then that that had been a golden opportunity to
overthrow a "string of former Soviet client-states," Syria, Iraq,
Iran, and there would be a window of opportunity to use military
force with impunity before a new superpower would emerge. Now,
'91, that was exactly when the Soviet Union disintegrated, and
this was really the chance to put a whole new peace order,
because there was no more enemy; but Clark basically said that
they already listed seven regimes to be overthrown then: Iraq,
Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Libya, Sudan, and Somalia.
And he said the only way to solve the Iran issue is through
diplomacy, and then he warned that the alternative is a two to
three-week bombing campaign which will render Iran a failed
state, and which will have the more dire consequences for the
United States and the world.
Now, I think we should use the fact that this thing is on!
Don't kid yourself: They will do it, if there is not some major
action in the U.S. Congress, some impeachment, and this has to
occur rellay very quickly.
Another thing I should mention, is that the Turkish army has
massed 100,000 troops on the border with Iraq, with lots of jet
fighters, helicopter gunships, and tanks, and the government has
said the military solution to stop the PKK is on the table, and
this would be the next British piece of the permanent war
scenario. There are tens of millions of Kurds inside Turkey,
Iran, Iraq and Syria, and that was the powderkeg which was set up
by the Sykes-Picot treaty in 1916. And if this explodes it would
just bring the war into the entire region even more.
Now, going to the issue of the financial collapse: It is
indeed upon us with brute force. Now, before I go into the
financial system as such, on the housing collapse in the United
States, remember that on Oct. 3, Pelosi and Reid, Dodd and Barney
Frank had given a press conference where they said that emergency
measures to stop foreclosures would be a top priority of the
Congress. On Oct. 28, the New York Times had a lead editorial
pointing to the fact that nothing has happened, and that the
whole collapse is fully ongoing.
The U.S. Census Bureau has put out figures that there have
been 2.1 million homes owned homes standing empty by the end of
the third quarter, and many had to move out of their houses, but
without being able to sell them. So, just leaving the house
behind, but not even getting the money from selling it.
Now the Congressional Joint Economic Committee held hearings
where they said that because of the U.S. mortgage collapse,
people will lose $100 billion of their so-called wealth by the
end of 2008, and another 2 million people could lose their homes
to foreclosure, in addition to those who have already lost their
homes. But the JEC was contradicted by a former senior economist
for the President's Council of Economic Advisors, Jon Haveman,
who said this is way too optimistic: Things will get
exponentially worse. Home prices have only started to drop, and
it will get much worse, must faster. Housing economist Robert
Shiller told the JEC hearing said that prices will fall 20% or
more, and that is unprecedented in the history of such mortgage
and housing price collapses.
So, Lyn's Homeowners and Bank Protection Act is obviously
the {only} thing which will stop it. And therefore, what we did
in the United States was to do a major mobilization over the
weekend, especially in Loudoun County, which Lyn, absolutely on
the mark, had called the Ground Zero of the housing bubble. We
mobilized, leafleting 16 churches and many other places by
getting people to call on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors
or Leesburg or other town councils to support the HBPA. Now,
Loudoun, more than 20 years when we moved there, was a rural area
with farming and light industry, between 2000 and 2006, when the
housing boom really exploded, became the county with the highest
median income in the United States, which was completely a
bubble, because the light industry and farming were moved out.
Now, in 2007, the median home value has already dropped by 6% and
foreclosures are up 1000% for the second year! And there is a
$100 million hole in the county budget of $1.5 billion, so you
can see this is only the beginning.
Otherwise, the U.S. dollar is plunging. It is this morning
at EU1.4423, which is approaching the EU1.50 level, which is a
more than 5% collapse in two weeks. Gold is around $780. But
the other issue really with us, is inflation, which is not the
official 2%, because the "basket of goods" which makes up the
index for inflation, has many items which were falling in prices,
like long-distance overseas trips, computers and mobile phones;
but families and people with low incomes like Hart IV recipients
or pensioners, they have a much larger proportion of those goods
which rose significantly like food prices: for example, eggs
rose 44%; soft wheat up 23%; cereals up 24%; milk up 21.3%. Oil
is now around $90 a barrel, heating oil and gas are up a lot, and
electricity is supposed to go up in Germany by 10% in January.
So for a normal household, and there are 56% of German households
which have only EU150 to spend over and above their fixed costs,
for everything from hair dressing, to clothing, and stuff like
that. So you can imagine that spend a much larger proportion of
their income on food prices, heating, water, electricity, and
stuff like that, they feel the inflation very much, and it
already takes away from their living standard dramatically.
So, with the situation which we know is going to explode, we
are in a 1923 kind of situation.
Now, the fact that Merrill Lynch had to admit that they had
$8 billion in losses in the third quarter has sent additional
shocks, and Reuters quoted a Bear Stearns banker saying, "The
Merrill Lynch result means all bets are off," meaning that the
other banks have just not admitted their losses, and they're
sitting on these SIVs which they can't sell, and therefore the
situation is much worse.
Also it is rumored that the Fed will cut the interest rate
by another quarter-percent, or even some are speculating by
another half-percent, so the helicopter money approach is going
to continue, while there is massive pressure on the European
Central Bank to increase rates, because of the high inflation
rates! And that is exactly what we have been saying all along.
I should just add that the situation in Germany is also
interesting, because at the SPD party conference concluded with
their Hamburger program, which is a major correction of the 2010
Agenda, basically changing Hartz IV, putting into the program the
slogan of a Democratic Socialism. The trade unions are
applauding; the Linkspartei says they are stealing our program;
the CDU is freaked out about the left turn of the SPD, so we
should expect some turmoil in the Grand Coalition of the CDU and
SPD, because it remains to be seen if the will of these people to
stay in power is stronger than these centrifugal tendencies.
Otherwise, Germany remains in an insane condition: Again,
the environmental prize was given to some CO2 nonsense, and you
can actually see the {Gleichschaltung} of the German media on
this global warming/environmentalism really makes East German TV
talk show host Karl-Eduard von Schnitzler and his Black Channel
look like paragons of truthfulness.
Now, Merkel is continuing to prove that she is the most
ridiculous woman in Germany, because she is now embarking on a
four-day trip to India, where she says that Germany needs a new
Asia strategy, and it should not focus so much on China, but
develop another Asia strategy. And the first thing she announced
is that she will cut development aid to India, because it is no
longer a developing country! This is after she messed up the
relations to China because of this silly Dalai Lama game, and if
Germany needs a new Asia strategy, the BueSo for sure has it, and
we had the Kiedrich Conference to put it on the agenda, so
Germany should go with that.
Now, the good news, however, which I kept toward the end, is
that the Argentine Presidential election resulted in an
overwhelming victory for First Lady Cristina Fernandez de
Kirchner, so there will not be a second round of voting, because
she had such a high plurality that her opponents conceded and she
will be the next President of Argentina. And from everything I
know, this is a very good sign, because she is planning to
continue the policies which was coined by her husband.
Okay, so looking at the situation, we have the immediate
danger of an Iran war; we have a danger of a Cuban missile crisis
in Eastern Europe, which Putin warned against at the
European-Russian summit in Portugal over the weekend; and we
have the collapse of the financial system, an explosion of
hyperinflation, the mortgage and housing bubble collapse in the
United States, and this is spreading to many European countries,
by the way: So, it is very clear, we have to escalate our
campaign, put our solutions on the table, and if you look at the
condition of the parties in Europe, it is {very} clear, that if
we do not get serious in building our own organizations and
parties, by going for a subscription drive, by going for a
membership drive, by being serious about recruitment, then we are
not fulfilling the historic mission which only we can carry out.
So my suggestion is, that we go into this week with the
absolutely dogged determination that every single member of this
organization is making a breakthrough from the standpoint of
recruitment, organizing, selling subs, selling memberships, and
really go into the vacuum of ideas which clearly exists
throughout Europe, and let's revive the great German Classical
tradition. We will have a beautiful Schiller celebration, which
we discussed over the weekend, to celebrate the birthday of
Schiller, but to use it, at the same time, to do exactly as they
are doing with the Cooper project in the United States: To use
the ideas of Schiller and the networks of the American
Revolution, to inspire people to fight for the republic, to
defeat the oligarchy, and to put a world economic order on the
agenda which guarantees the survival of all human beings on this
planet.
