Any religious teaching may need to be reinterpreted in terms of changes in society and technology. Christians are doing that all the time, and I have been told that Muslim scholars are doing so, too. There are some Christians who don't believe in reinterpreting the Bible, and we have met at least one.

I'm not speaking for you here, Rana, I'm just sticking my paddle into the lake.
