I can only agree with the others, Rana. The work is the important thing. Perhaps in order to feel less effectual and used, you might look for a UK organization that fights poor laws regarding the working folk. I have no idea who that might be but there have to be other disgruntled wage earners who are sick of the government's bowing to the big corporations. Perhaps emails to your legislators would help you feel better.
We know that eventually the big corporations will rule all governments and individual rights will be abrogated for the "good of all".
