I've had a very busy week, which was some considerable relief, and am going to Cape Cod next week with some insane in-laws which should be good. This two weeks is taking me out of the usual lonely day-to-day routine. I will start looking for things to keep me in touch with people. Losing the social part of the office routine was a big shock, I am now realizing.

I actually did pay someone to help me with the carpentry and plumbing for an afternoon. We quite enjoyed the day, and he did a first-class job of fixing my drain. I think I may have found a job for him, too.

Thanks for your concern. It is very valuable to me to have a place where I can leave a post like that. I aasume you all have some experience or knowledge of depression. I remember eyars when I didn't know what was wrong, so just knowing that I am prone to bouts of downtime gives me some perspective on it. The medications do help a lot, too. Knowing that it is a medical problem is a help.

I own't be on for the next week, most likely. Even if I get to stop in an Internet cafe, I don't imagine I'll get much chance to spend time online.
