Its at times like that we realise how much we are creatures on habit. How much we rely on people around us. Even at school I always admired the few who seemed to be able to get on with people, yet somehow seemed comfortable within themselves, self contained. Of course, in most cases it was just a misviewing on my part, but Im sure there are some who have got this ability. And i do think it is an ability, a higher way of life...and i dont mean anti social.

In the Bhagavan Gita it refers to doing work to the best of your ability and then surrendering the results. No worry if no-one appreciates it, if it is shown to be rubbish, or conversely if it is highly aclaimed. Just do it as well as you can, then forget about that task once its done and move on to what else is required. The satisfaction must therefore rest in the doing, and that means focussing on the work, the action, not the outcome.

Hmmmm, good theory, but very tricky thing to develop.
