What you are saying makes a lot of sense. I think trades have been given short shrift by education departments that seem to think everyone should go to University. I really do wish, some days, that after University I had apprenticed as a tool and die maker. I would have loved it, but I didn't even know there was such a thing as a tool and die maker.

I've got my youngest son convinced to get into a trade. He's looking for something. At present, he's driving dump trucks that are the size of small apartment buildings, and weigh 2,000,000 lb. fully loaded.
