American middle schools are instituting bans against hugging as an inappropriate display of affection. Can't have the nasty little bounders making bodily contact! Perhaps we should ban the hand shake as well, and substitute the Japanese custom of bowing.

I realize that you British folk are a bit on the conservative side when it comes to display of public affection. So, I would be interested on your views here.
