I like the idea of writing the time down actually - I just need to invest in a fine-tip (shut it) permanent marker for said purpose...or root through my pen collection (I probably have four somewhere, I'm addicted to technical pens for some reason).

Obviously I'd need to work out some sort of system for scribbling on my pouches - I used to use the pen method for marking each one down on my hand, then transferring the amount to my diary; one day I had to put down "lost track at 36". Maybe ten so far today, around fifteen yesterday - not bad for a man who this time last week went through a pouch a day (yesterdays pouch is still half full!).
