This is sort of a hard subject to discuss, simply because I don't want to ruin any of the forthcoming storylines, or give too much away.

Suffice it to say, I have always maintained that while this series has three main characters, I often see these books as Jamie's story, more than anyone else. I don't know why really, it's just the root point of the story for me. You will notice both EU and 'Mermaid' end with Jamie- I won't say how, but the final scene in 'Angels' involves Jamie as well. I think I can say that Jamie has the ability to take a moment, even if it's a small one and find both grace and joy in it. So yes, I think he will get his peace and his due share of happiness. Just maybe not in the same form that other characters find theirs.
