  • Love certainly didn't endear himself to me in any way and I never found his charm truly charming, it's more like the charm of a serial killer -- it just makes you feel uneasy in some primitive part of your brain. Robin was a much harder one -- we see so much of him through Casey's memories and learn of his horrible childhood, which makes him much more human, at least for me. He certainly does some terrible things (Scotsman's Lament destroys me every time I read it), but I feel as if they come out of the damage done to him as a boy and teen.
