Subject: Yes, it totally makes sense. RICO was just starting then though, so cracking down on organized crime was new. Also I kept getting the vision of a Mormon missionary in my head every time Agent Gus popped up on the page. One of the real FBI agents that was assigned to take down Whitey Bulger, actually had dinner with Whitey on a regular basis, he got so glamourized by the man.
In reply to: Lil 's message, "I posed question one because I was actually relieved that he didn't become an informant. *g* Usually I'd say go on the side of the law and justice, but with Love, something in me said "find another sucker, I want Casey to live!" *g* Unfortunately we see Agent Gus is much more persuasive in a later chapter. :-( and my first impression of Agent Gus was that he was a little out of his league with Casey. Somehow he didn't have that seriousness that I would have expected to be working on the Love Hagerty case. Does that make sense?" on 18:02:56 07/27/09 Mon

  • Gus certainly left that impression with me at first, too, Lil, so it makes perfect sense. (NT) -- Carla, 18:06:56 07/27/09 Mon
