• I loved seeing Casey and Pamela together with their family, I really think that's a part of life that's missing for them in Boston, especially Casey. Even without his parents, he's used to having other people in his life who've known him forever and care about him deeply. • I thought it was kind of cute how nervous Casey was over his family coming. I just don't picture him like that so it's nice to see these sides of him. I do think it's harder than he expect to try and be happy for Pamela. He wants so bad for her to feel safe and at home, even at the risk of his own happiness. Loved the tribute of the empty chair for their fathers - very touching. The only thing I've ever seen close to that is at Passover. • I think the depth of Casey's sadness is reflected in his moments of solitude. Whether conversing with a gull or standing alone on a snowy rooftop, he seems to seek time alone to allow his pain an outlet.       • I think Casey often feels that way. At some point in 'Angels' he says to her that she really was raised to marry a man like Jamie, not like himself.         • I think it's inevitable that Casey would feel he'd taken Pamela away from her "proper" place in the world, but we have to remember that she was a dollar a dance girl at a seedy pub when she left America the first time and all her father's wealth was gone. She may have fit into that world on the surface, but without her father's money not many would have accepted her as a wife, IMHO, despite her beauty, charm and grace.           • I agree with you, Carla. Hard not to see Pamela without thinking of that 'dollar a dance' girl that attempted to dance her way into Jamie's bed that night. And besides, in her letter she wrote to Jamie at the end of EU, she told him that she was more like Casey and Pat than he knew. • I was so happy that Pamela decided to make the invitations so that they could be surrounded by family at Christmas. I think Casey and Pat are better when they are close by each other. I know Casey wanted Pamela to be happy and so took her to America even though it wasn't home for him. One has to be strong to do that and to perservere because it's not easy living somewhere that you just dont fit in completely or know that it's not your home.
