An update on my progress: I have read through Mermaid up to the point where Casey & Pamela are back in Ireland living in the cottage with Lawrence. They have just reconciled from a pretty big argument that resulted in Casey leaving for a week. He's back & they are tentatively reconciled, but both of them know that there is still something wrong, Pamela or course knows what it is, but can't bring herself to tell him yet.
