I think Pamela didn't tell Jamie about the notes because she knows he would have told her to let well enough alone. He would certainly know what the rings signified and just what kind of men her search would lead her to find. I agree Carla. I think Jamie would have told her to no to get involved but I suspect that Pamela would not have listened and then Jamie would have to get involved, which is why Pamela didn't want to tell him.
