Subject: In response to Doni's message from the other board - and my rant

First of all, Thank you, Doni. Not all Confederate Soldiers were slave owners, in fact a very small percentage were. They were not all racists either. In fact, not all southern people CURRENTLY alive are racists, not all Republicans are racists, and everyone who disagrees with our current President is not a racist.

I am so sick and tired of the racist slur that is thrown right and left that I COULD SCREAM!!!! Bill Maher said on some talk show the other night that Republicans carried the "Slave States". Nice, asshole!

Needless to say, the letter you sited (cited?) was someone with an axe to grind. And plenty of people are still grinding it. If you notice the President is black, you are a racist. If you DON'T notice the President is black you are a racist. It is a RACISTORAMA!!!!

I was called a racist on this board (and no, I am not fucking over it yet) because I agreed that the fact that BO is black helped him win the presidency. Being from the south helps, you know. We are all racists down here, you know.

My great great Grandfather fought and died in the Civil War. Whoops! He fought for the Union. His brother fought for the Confederacy. Guess my GGGrandfather is good, GG Uncle, bad.

It is a huge dishonor that those who fought and died fighting for the Confederacy are now disgraced for doing what they thought was right. It is no longer politically correct to honor them. That is wrong. Very very wrong. We don't hate all Japanese people for WWII, do we?

Recently, Nicaragua’s president spent nearly an hour ranting about the US. Obama's reply? Well he smiled and read from his teleprompter ”I’m grateful President Ortega didn’t blame me for things that happened when I was three months old". Well, here is a proposition! Quit blaming me for things that happened 100 years before I was born! Quit blaming the entire South for all the injustices of the past! How is that? ESPECIALLY THE FREAKING CIVIL WAR!

Sorry to unload, but this has been on my mind since Scooter called me a racist with my head up my ass. I am currently trying to stay away from this board, from the 24 hour news cycle, from the way our country is going to shit. I will have plenty to say in the future.

And Doni, yes, your post set me off, but I had to bring it here. You know I love you and I hope your neck is better!

probably because you're the only Republican with the guts to post, and it gets old hearing peeps that agree with everything :-Þ~~

On this we are of the same mind...Do you know the reason I stopped "loving" Obama? A Canadian was in our office and said, "I just don't want to see this guy get elected BECAUSE he is black."

I started thinking about what I really know about him, his family, his history...guess what? I was going to vote for him BECAUSE he was black! I was so ashamed at my own racist attitude I didn't vote for him...I'm sorry, but I didn't vote for McCain either. ;P

Have you seen the latest documentation that shows Obama used his connection with his father from the Phillipines to get into Occidental College? He claimed he was a 'foreign' student and applied for, and got a Grant.

I know I should have checked the original source, but I didn't think I stated it as a fact, only that it was sent to me (always suspect)and I was curious about the validity.

I sure didn't mean to come off as stating facts.

I gotta say, this really stings me. I always thought we were 'sisters' of the RT Board, and friends...and your response seems so harsh. I wonder if it's just disgust with my lack of research, or personal, but it feels personal.:\ I feel like I'm generally good about checking before posting, but...I screwed up. sorry.

[> Doni, lol, you voted for Ron Paul didn't you? -- Jeannine, 20:06:45 05/25/09 Mon [1]

this board will come back to life, I am sure. There were more conservatives posting than before, but it has petered out for a while.

Unfortunately, we are learning more about Obama every day. "Yes We Can!!!!!" What a joke!

You know Kinky is gonna run again, don't you? I am very tired of pretty boy, but I like Kay Bailey. She's a Ft Worth girl, you know :D

I just love the Kinkster...I think he has a bad drinking problem tho' (there's a pic on my lil sis's myspace page where he's giving her a big hug and he's got that nasty cigar in his hand). I doubt he could do any more harm than pretty boy, "do you know who I am" Perry. lol Did you ever see the footage of him getting pulled over? That's what he said to the trooper. I guess he thinks he's something.

I like Kay Bailey too...She's just a little too tight for my taste. Reminds me a LOT of my mom. ;P I love her, but I wouldn't want her running the place. =-X
