... I have it in writing. I don't know much about her but he's over the moon and says she's a great choice. And that should answer some of the concerns that people had claiming sexism against Hillary Clinton.

... who would have voted for Mrs Clinton. How could a Democrat vote for a Republican (a Conservative Republican yet) just because she's a woman? Does she think that Democrat American women are that gullible?

John McCain, 72 year old cancer survivor, picks a woman who he has met ONCE to be his vice president. This is putting "country first?" This is good judgment?

this may surprise you, but I like and respect John McCain. I just don't understand how he could make such an important decision based on one meeting.

Hillary asked for votes from women just because she is a woman and no one questioned that. I doubt that Mrs Palin is expecting the hard core feminist vote, no worries.

Scooter - McCain picking her makes you question his judgement and patriotism because he only met her ONCE? ... hmmmmm. Is that "Change we can believe in"???? I am so tempted to go into one of my famous lectures about political hate speech, but you did ask me to spare you those.

That's what Sarah did yesterday. She appealed to Democrat women who would have supported Hillary to vote for her and McCain just because... That's rather presumtuous considering that there is a sea of difference between republican policies and democratic ones. Do they think that people don't have any convictions or principles?

they think that any woman in this hormonal sea of humanity, will vote for any other candidate with a vagina.

i guess. i can't figure it out.

No women in my acquaintance vote based on genitalia.

If McCain had picked Romney/Pawlenty/etc etc the meme would have been the "forward thinking Dems against old white men" so what are you gonna do?

If nothing else, this choice has been a huge boost to the enthusiam of the conservative minded voter. It also stole quite a bit of thunder from Barry's coronation coverage!
