after hearing her speech at the church....I have a lot of fear! Here I was worried about Huckabee being picked......oh lord (no pun intended).

I agree the media is way out of control about her daughter...BUT if you are going to tell others how to live their lives and legislate morality you cannot be surprised some will see a bit of hypocrisy. Now they are parading the young man to the convention further opening the door for the Jerry Springer comments. Not saying it's right, but still. Also, certainly a political issue has been made by the GOP camp about the fact that she 'decided' to have a baby who was born with Downs Syndrome. You certainly can't deny that that's been made a political issue by the right.

hypocrisy, huh? so she is trying to tell you how to live your life? Seems to me the opposite is true. Now she is parading the media-named "Baby Daddy" to the convention - if she didn't would she be HIDING him?

She has a Down's Syndrome baby. She didn't abort that baby. Huge problem, huh? By living her life the way she wants she is making a political statement?

She has a pregnant teenage daughter. Makes her a bad mother I guess. Give me a break.

How about the hypocrisy of the media that reported that John Edward would bravely carry on with his campaign even tho his wife is dying of cancer. The appeared together to worldwide accolades --- they were putting their country first!

I am extremely pissed right now. I will not post anymore until my anger dies down.

Hypocrite MY ASS!

Whoa Jeannine...you've taken some HUGE liberties in what I said. Don't take out on me your disgust of the media right now. Who said it was a problem that she didn't abort that baby? I said her party is using that as a political issue and they most definitely are and at the same time saying children are off-limits.

Maybe you shouldn't spend so much time here if you are going to get SO offended......note you started the thread so you mustof wanted to discuss it?

Hypocrisy is rampant in politics, and it's not just limited to one party.

Belle, quit makin fun of the former governor of my state and his wife jethrine bodine, i mean janet. He thinks he's a cool funny bass player in a band guy. (i give him *props* for tryin.)

the key word is bristol got to *decide* to keep her pregnancy.

Her mom wants to take that decision away.

but you really don't know that. You think you do, but you don't.

For some reason, I love Mrs Huckabee. She has such a long suffering look about her. Even tho she is my age (or maybe younger YIKES!) she reminds me of my Grandma.

You imply that she had a choice. I don't think there was ever anything to choose in that family; Mrs. Palin appears to be very "black and white" about what is right and what is wrong and I would assume that's the way she raised her children.

from the governor, saying yes, bristol is pregnant and decided to keep the baby and marry baby daddy.

tell me if i'm wrong. i'm pretty sure the press release said decided.
