Very well said Denny.

While I never served I was raised in a military family. My father served for 22+ years in the Navy of which he is very proud. All of children were raised to be proud of the men and women in uniform. While I think he was glad that his daughters did not enlist I think he would have liked to see his 2 sons enlist for at least one term. Like you said, serving with a group of people with whom your lives are in each others hands is incrediby bonding and maturing. Honestly, I think it would have done (and would still do) a great deal for my youngest brother. He needs the maturing that in my opinion only military service can provide.

Thank you for your service

i remember thinking about it in High school, but I don't think I could have done the physical stuff. I admire anyone with the courage to follow their heart.
