Back in good old VA (can't believe I'm saying that LOL), we had primaries. They were lovely. You could go on your lunch hour, or directly after work, or whenever. It took about five minutes start to finish.

Here in CO, we caucus. Skip me with the caucuses. I did talk to my Precinct Captain two weeks ago to learn more about the process. He said it would take about an hour to get to the straw poll results and then the other issues would table. Umm, an hour? At 7pm? With a bunch of folks blabbering about why they're voting for someone? No thanks. Then tonight this was posted on the Denver Post, which only confirmed my worst suspicions:

7:53 Pioneer Elementary School, Lafayette, Dems

Supporters were asked to go into separate parts of the room based on their candidate. About two-thirds gathered for Barack Obama, one-third for Hillary Clinton and five remained in the middle of the room as uncommitted.

Needing more supporters in order to secure a delegate to the county convention, an Obama supporter yelled to the undecideds: "We've got brownies"

That brought a "I'll make you dinner" retort from the Hillary side.

A representative from each candidate's camp then made speeches trying to commit the uncommitted.

**HF again. That exchange sounds painful. I would not enjoy that at all. Sad too, cause I believe in the political process...but I just couldn't make myself go through all that.

It was funny because hubby and I went together and as we were leaving, Dave was just getting there and right after we got hime, Jr called to tell us he'd just voted too, LOL! He lives in another county so figured he'd check in so we could discuss.
