With violet occulars, the femme watched the muscular brute size her up-- for a brief moment she met his gaze and she understood at that moment that he had not underestimated her. So he is wise after all... she thought to herself with a huff. Maybe this kid would be useful. Her ebony coat bristled as she saw his breathing quicken, but still she chose not to twitch. For a while, she refused to even give her drying eyes a reprieve and blink. Even that was too long a time to take her ocs off of her challenger. Here her experience had proved her right, because the other's amber eyes were now bounding toward her, his determination and focus seeming to burn a hole in the dusky light. Her own occulars never left his-- they never left their target. She knew he planned to strike her, but he did not aim to kill right off. He merely planned to test her, then strategize from there. Sins remained stiff until the very instant that he struck her,when she exhalled and rolled her trunk into to the ground,limp, as if he had broken it. This set her into a roll, but kept her precious forelimb safe for now. The blow had left her aching, but not unable to retaliate. She ground her foreclaws into the earth to stop her roll, and rose again, crania a mere inches from the dirt. Now a snarl played her ragged features, her gleaming ivories creating a stark contrast to her negro pelt. Alright big boy-- you aren't as bad as I expected. Bravo. At her words she sprang forward, banner tucked tightly against her, haunches launching her through the space between them with more agility than a canine her age should probably have. She aimed her lowered cranium to his front, facing him head on. She opened her maw with a click and snapped at those amber orbs, while a claw made its way toward wherever she could land it on the brute.
