(*) She was paying little attention to the black fae as she stood still. Kosses would never know the battle that raged inside her. Nor did she care. She was too busy ripping the meat from bones and crunching anything else between her back teeth. She was loud, snarling, slurping, and thoroughly enjoying the hot meat that occasionally fell from her iron trap. But each piece that fell was snapped up and digested dirt and all. She roamed from the throat to the chest, putting paw prints in the bloody mud that was growing around the beast. She tore through the large quantities of muscle. It was surprising how much these creatures had. She was beginning to feel the corners of her stomach extend with food. Weeks and weeks had taught her to fill when she could.

As Kosses worked on the meat, she caught a slight movement in front of her on the corner of the tree line, Her ears snapped back, her fangs flashed with a chunk of meat caught in her mouth. Blood leaked down and off brown fur as her hackles rose to new heights. If that wolf thought he was getting some of this…he was sorely mistaken. With rabbit in his mouth, he looked ridiculous. However, deer was always better than rabbit. (*)
