As her friends had found out, time after time again, her attention was always focused on the horse, but now she found her eyes flicking up repeatedly to Jake. That last night had hurt so bad, but she still found herself unable to look away. She wonders what he thinks of her still, then moves on. How could she know what he was thinking if she didn't know how she herself felt? Or at least admit to herself. She tries to focus on their movements, but catches her gaze repeated moving back to him.
