I think stories like that are inspiring to people like myself who want not only to become a teacher but a great teacher. While I think it is difficult to always group people into one of the multiple Intelligences that Sternberg identifies I do see how they can be very helpful for the purpose of differentiated instruction. Not necessarily to make sure that I touch on everyone’s particular intelligence, but to keep learning interesting and expose students to many different ways of learning. The more methods you can incorporate into lessons and the more Intelligences you can touch on in a particular class, the less boring and repetitive the subjects become. I have seen how using this theory in a classroom is great for keeping students engaged and interested.
