1. Yes his deal was faustian. There could be many explinations to his coming back as an amazing guitar player. He could have just been practicing a lot for the years that he had disappeared. I do not believe that he sold his soul to the devil.

2. Hoodoo is a type of folk magic. It relates to RJ because many people think that he went to the "crossroads" which was part of hoodoo belief. They say that at the "crossroads" people would meet with the devil, and make a deal with him. Which is what people of that time believed that Robert Johnson did.

3. Yes I believe that it is. One could say that the artists who have already "made it" sold their soul to the devil because they wanted to make it big and be superstars, which because they sold their soul, has become a reality. You could also say that aspiring musicians are willing to sell their soul to the devil, just so they can make the big time. Most artists will do whatever it takes to make it to the top. Another thing would be that, it always seems as though "the good die young", reinforcing the fact that they had sold their soul.

4. I would wait at the crossroads, to become the best person and athlete in the world.
