Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz had it right..."There's no place like home." as she clicked her red ruby slippers. I am feeling the same right about now LOL.

I've been house/dog sitting since Thursday morning. One more night to go and tomorrow afternoon I pack up and head home. Although with the temperatures dipping below zero now, it's become rather noticeable in here. I'm so used to not being overly warm, but dampness is a killer when the weather gets this cold.

My friend is accusstomed to colder temperatures and finds my place rather warm, while I find her place rather chilly, to say the least.

There is not a happy medium here and I do surmise that going home is going freel rather like paradise at the moment. My fingers are freezing, my toes are frozen and sitting beneath three blankets does not help ward of the damp chill that is rather permanent here.

I can't complain too much, it's just the differenct in accustomed temperatures that is making this a very long stay over, and making home seem all that more inviting and wonderful.

Yet, here I am trying to type this up and thinking how can I get extra heat in here, since she'll be home tomorrow, I don't want to turn up the thermostat more than I already have here. I guess, baking might be a good idea, and maybe, a few more blankets with down feathers in them!

Ok ok..I don't mean to complain, but again, I'll be back at my own computer, feeling toasty and warm. I'll have the comfort of my own bed, and pillows..ahh yes, the one thing we take for granted when away from home...our bed! How I miss it. I even am looking forward to my cats bugging the daylights out of me while I try and read, and yes, even getting up for school Monday shall be wonderful.

I think these past couple of days has been humbling and gave me time to sort through my thoughts, what is important to me and what I now no longer need. Some things are just not worth spending time on, so "letting go" is becoming more viably clear than it was prior to this excursion to house/dog sitting.

I just wanted you all to know, although I have internet access, I am too darn cold to sit here and type hour after hour! LOL

Wishing you all the warmest of thoughts on this chilly night..well chilly here in any event. But, keep warm, be blessed and say thank you for your home.

Hugs and love,
Tammy

Tammicans,

LOL!

I freaking hate this weather.

You damn Canandians are all to blame!

This is what I hear when I listen to the weather report.

"A low, stead Canadian air mass is moving slowly down
from the north"

or

"A Canadian Cold front is about to move into the Albany area"

or

"The cold Canadian air is about to arrive"

Something, when a Country who is supossed to be our
close friends continues to drop their freezing air
down here on us when we didn't do anything to deserve it.

Damn Canucks!

I say we should build a huge wall and trap all
that frozen air up there with you. I will however
off to lend you one of my goose feather comforters.

Of course the geese were shot after invading us
from Cananda as well.

Stay warm hot stuff!

zoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmm

(((Andyman))) YOU SMILE ME!

Yes, the damn Canadian cold front has settled somewhere safely over the Adirondacks, but let's not forget that those same air masses brings all your wonderful ski buffs to your region too and keeps the economy flowing nicely during the deep freeze of winter.

Now, I have to ask you about the damn geese? Was that you on the news I saw shooting down all of our lovely geese as they headed south for the winter? Is that where my down jacket came from? It was you huh? LOL LOL

Ok ok...Well, I am back in my nice toasty warm house/apartment, but hey...it's mine, it's warm and I love it so much!

I'll be back in later to catch up a bit, but first I have some serious cleaning and laundry to do and errands that need to be tended to, like groceries, and picking up my daughter from her friends...but hey..I promise to cook up a nice warm pot of stew or something to help keep you all warm as well. Don't forget to watch the news tonight...

"There is a big dumping of snow heading our way"

Yep...snow on the horizon, but hey the good thing about snowing, is that it means the deep freeze gets shut off for a bit, as the temperatures usually go up for the snow...so I'll trade the deep freeze for a shovel if ya don't mind! LOL

Thanks Andyman...

Huge hugs to keep warm!

Love ya,
Tammy

(((Sasha)))

TOASTY WARM!

Yes, it's good to be home and there is no place like home. We find ourselves attached to our own things, which perhaps is not a good thing, but it leaves a nice warm fuzzy feeling deep down in side, now don't it? LOL

Thank you hon for stopping in...glad I could blog a bit here.

Hugs and love,
Tammy
