] Date Posted: 07:11:34 10/19/07 Fri . So it is as all things come to pass. Another day in paradise. Let's roll the dice. Damn cliches as much as I try to avoid them they always seem to ring in my ear. I was thinking about the impact of repetition and commonality vs. uniqueness in all of us. No one wants to feel like a robot but, we all have so much in common that sometimes we can predict responses and feel an innate energy around us with specific people. I'd like to think that connection is a great resource. One that enables us to understand each other on some higher undefined plane. It is true that our differences are many but, in taking a closer look at humanity I have found that there are types of people and we all fit into a certain group or groups as it may be. I have some great friends that I have met electronically, so to speak. Friends that I have developed deep and confiding relationships with. I've never met them face to face (they are all afraid of me) but, I know in my heart they have been great good choices as I now have years of history to back that up. I think the thing that has brought me together with them, the one sustainable quality is that our SOULS speak a similar language. I'm forever trying to define things that need not be defined. I drive myself nuts sometimes channeling in on some thought that works without me having to dissect it. I think that's what's important here. Sometimes in life we just have to shake our head and thank our God for the blessings we can't quite explain. So, thanks to you out there in the world sitting behind your computer screen. You know who you are. My close and dear friends who have shared so many laughs and deep conversations over time. Thanks for letting me into your door and to know your kids and your hearts. Poetry is my passion but, it brings greater gifts than the poems themselves. It brings lasting friendships and beautiful souls into my cave. ....and that should be enough for any man especially a man like me. ajs . Date Posted: 14:47:56 10/19/07 Fri (((Andy))) I'm going to add to this as well. I find that your profound thinking as of late, a wonderful side of you, that doesn't often come to the fore; however, it brings great comfort to know that although some of the "friends" we make in life, whether in person or electronically, all manage to have a great impact on our lives, good and bad. BUT, and here's the but...every person that crosses our path is for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME, each having it's own beneficial importance. Sometimes we meet a person for five minutes, and we impact their lives, and vice versa. Sometimes we meet people and they leave us with pondering thoughts, questions or a new perspective on an old dynamic. These times, when we meet so briefly, are powerful moments in life. Ahhh the magic and beauty of it all, is always wonderful. Those we get to know for short periods of time, are usually "helpers" along the journey of life, who are sent to us, to help us sort through a problem, or aid us in some grand way, and then they are gone, never to be seen again. These two above examples, remind of me of human angels, who come with a purpose, without knowing they did so. However, it is up to us the receiver, to discern and distinguish the necessary information that was brought with our brief encounters. There is a silver lining in all things. The third catergory are those that agree to travel life's destiny with us, sharing, encouraging, comforting, and all those wonderful human qualities. Don't get me wrong, there are those that piss us off too, but they have a special purpose, they teach us tolerance, forgiveness, and patients, or simply to take our head out of the sand an see life with a different outlook. Either way....it's all for a wonderful reason, and no meeting, no matter how seemingly by chance or random act it may appear to be, is of the greatest importance to us. We just need to grasp the truths and allow it to be. There are those I've met that have pissed me right off, but in doing so, they taught me to push myself harder, strive higher, and reach for the stars. No matter the subject matter, it's all of great relevance to life. I just had to jump in on this, because even though I am this emotional wench that spill poetry, I am a profoundly deep thinker that embraces the many philosophies in life too. Have a great weekend! Hugs and love, Tammy |
