Subject: The Reminder - 10/19/07

I am reminded daily of the deep-seated affinity I hold with everything in this world. Now, you may think that I am waxing poetic because it is near my birthday or that I am just feeling "my age", but that is further from the truth.

This evening I watched the herons rise during sunset. I don't think they'll be back this way for a while...while this weekend promises to be a last hurrah of summer, too soon do the trees whisper crisp good-byes. *Smile*

I wondered if they whisper good-bye to these fields and streams as they make for warmer weather...and then smiled because they let me see them leave; their fond farewell to a woman who knows that where they go now is the best place for them. Their own bit of ascension, if you will.

Ascension. Soul-growth. A changing of the guard. Seasons pass. I babble. *Grins*

I watched the herons rise and for the first time in what seems a long time, felt my soul rise with them - the hawk in me fierce as she arced in a wave to the west and turning for the east of new beginnings; my feathers turning to the flame of phoenix yet again as I rose from planes of being and .....became.....

eh, you had to have been there - it was exhilarating, releasing and cleansing....

I walked amongst the trees and grasses and found myself swaying in the hard wind, my hair flapping like a pennant. All the creatures of wood hesitantly making an appearance...and then retreating for the evening as if taking their last bow to summer while still honoring fall's brisk entrance. It was like stepping between the veil, yet all still within the world. What an honor! What a blessing! What a way to honor the changing of the guard as the wheel turns once more!

Once home, I have been (in my own wild and whacked way) been honoring the changing of the guard as I clean and toss out what is no longer useful or needed. I will give these things to my friends (who might need them or know of others who need them). I will honor a change within my home and heart. But most of all, I will honor the change.

As the change of the guard is here, and the ascension of soul begins to make you soar, there is and will always be that ultimate euphoric experience. So happy you felt it, and was able to embrace and connect with it. It is amazing isn't it? *hugs*

The Hawk is my totem, *smiles*, so I can relate to that so well. My other totem is sister wolf, but brother hawk, soars above letting sister wolf know which way to lead me.

I can so embrace this, and with the release of so many energies consecutively, it is amazing to me, that the amount of soul growth we are all embracing, and how the tides are beginning to turn as the feminine energies evolve once again. Well done my dear!
