I'm not sure where you are from but in this area, that is considered sunday best for the 3 yr old that won, her shocks was white knee highs that you buy at a child clothing store ( i know because i bought my neice a pair) she had on bloomers under her dress! I do think next year we will have it with festival wear only, light make-up, dress as you are going to a festival. I do know in laffayette they wear the same and in some parts of North La they wear the type of clothing that these children had on. I personally did not see 1 child dress like a "stripper". I have Judged for over 18 years and have seen a different change in the wear that they are wearing now. I have mc, and a auditor as well. My daughter was a festival queen times 3. So I as well know what to look for! times has changed! good or bad! pageantry will always some good and some bad! that is life!
