My Autumn



My autumn, drifts
and spills across
a canvas of fire,
in earthbound submission,
where I let go
of all I ever knew,
just to taste the anticipation
of the coming storm


I live, to inhale
the primal heat of thunder
as your rain falls
to quench me, in
warm weeping chains
of liquid wisteria,
that drip to lips, open
in moistened invitation


You are my midnight,
a white cotton shirt
pressed to shy skin wanton,
aching to feel your expanse
as you burn your name
to the pebbled depths
of primal fire
licking the curves
of my rise & fall


we are the lightning
that strikes the sun blind
right between the clouds,
stroking each breath
to the arching sky


as your thunder rolls deep
to conjure my wicked,
the pleasure heat
of crescendo
speaks
and I call upon
my autumn,
to bring on the storm.
