It Bleeds To Deepest Places



Darkness bleeds
to deepest places
and pours
with abandon
like flame
to cool streams
of liquid thought


it speaks to clouds
of the lies
of dream-time
as the world spins on
in the color beautiful
and shadow weeps
in the ugly of pain


scrying the moon
as each stitch
of whispered scrim
is torn from the screaming
and the night aches
through every pore
pulsing slow and heavy


darkness bleeds
to deepest places
and pours
a small death
within the lick of breath
wasted where once I waited
for shadows touch
