Hi all, I just wanted to express my sympathies to all of you Rhodesians of mr Smith death. You had the most amazing country, which has been put to ruins. The death of Mr. Ian Smith made me curious about your past. News of Ian Smith and Rhodesia was mostly negative back in the days. Western media can be so single sided. It's easy to see today that the western world failed and kind of back stabbed Rhodesia. I hope and if so, Im glad that there are some of you Rhodesians here in Iceland. Cheers to you all! Lalli.

As you I was more than sad to hear about Ian. Although I never met him I was in Rhodesia in 1977 on holiday for 6 day seeing Victoria Falls & Wankie Game Reserve.
Those holidays were specially created to give Rhodesia and it's people some income during the heavy days of war.
Altough my contribution was small I'm sure it helped.
RIP IAN !!
