I Used To Love Her Words
I used to love to read her words.
I would get so excited when I saw
That she had posted a new poem.
I loved how her fragile words
Would dance across my screen
With the beauty and grace
Of a delicate fairy
And with the softness
Of butterfly wings…
And I could read,
And I could sigh,
And I could pretend
That all that eloquence,
All that gracefulness,
Was mine.
And then she disappeared.
Every word,
Every poem,
Every ethereal turn of phrase.
Gone.
No explanation.
Just gone.
Oh, I searched for her…
But I didn’t know who she was.
I just knew her
By the elegance of her words.
And I didn’t get to say goodbye.
And what was worse,
I didn’t even get to say thank you.
Thank you, dear poet.
I used to love to read your words.
And I sit...
And I wonder…
Whatever happened to your words?

I'm sorry about the white font. It's supposed to be brown like the title.
But html and I are NOT the best of friends. (sigh)

Oh, My God! Jeri!! Sweet loving Jeri!
You're breaking my heart. I'm sorry I left the way I did.
Believe me, it was a very painful decision, but I couldn't stay. I was too hurt.
However, our dear Sasha found me and here I am now and also on my own poetry blog. Please send me your email and I'll write you back.
Thank you soooo much for writing this dedication. You'll never know how much your words mean to me. You were always the one with so much love to go around for everyone back then . . . and look . . . you still are!

Oh, Wilopent, my friend, you have no idea how heart broken I was when you disappeared.
This poem was written BEFORE I found you here at the MMM. At that time, I was thinking that I would never find you again.
Now that I have, I can honestly say "My Cup Runneth Over".
But I'm thinking maybe I better save one of your poems in my "favorites" just in case I lose you again.

What an endearing undertaking.
It's wonderful to witness such a pure
and honest gift to another poet.
That you would take the time to do
such a thing reminds me that the world
can shine a bright light on my day from
far off places.
I salute and I agree with you entirely.
Willow is a wonderful poet who's essence
has broadened our own horizons here at the
motel.
You come back and post your poetry any time
you wish to and never feel like you wouldn't
fit in. You are exactly the type of person
we wish to invite into our community.

All I can say is a great big huge thank you, Andy for allowing me to post my poem here.
I feel so much better now that I have been able to touch bases with so many friends.
And the Muse Mongers Motel is a wonderful, supportive site, which you all have every right to be proud of.
I just apologize for the WHITE FONT!!! Dang. Sure wish I knew what happened. That's what I get for trying to be fancy!!! (sigh).
