] Date Posted: 17:11:49 01/27/08 Sun On Top Of Glue Young son, labeled. Like glue, held in place to look at, observe stuck in the enclosed classroom, every day is special. Fifteen children, each the same but different. Three teachers, highly trained in methods of restraint, smoothing out the unpeeled. I was also different, the only single father holding one down. We converse often, each having a side. I would inform of all the negatives happening at home. They would state all the positives occurring at school. Each have thoughts clinging inside about what’s underneath, the part adhering to truth, the part neither of us are able to see. And yes, "special" is a reference to special education and all it entails for then and the us the parents. So glad we have our poetry as one way to release as so much is out of our control.
