Voices echo

Voices shudder,
Echoing
Around me �
Words merge,
Fusing
Together.

Conversations
Dissolve
Into a mix
Of nothingness �
Thoughts jumbled,
Huddled within.

Voices thrown
Into a
Blender,
Muddled and
Befuddled,
Words spin.

Such a
Monotonous hum
Dwells throughout
This room,
The crowd
Sounds as one.

As the clouds
Gather outside,
The dreariness
Grows within,
Thoughts grow
As angels fall.

Cluttered
These words,
Befuddled
My thoughts,
Louder than the voices
That echo within.

sometimes within a crowd, I can zone out, until
the crowd starts to sound like a long low hum
so very well done, honeybunch...you've described it perfectly

You may be the only one I know that
writes as many poems as I do.

I have read so many of your poems there
is no possible way to even guess the
number.

This one is NUMBER 1 in my book.

It is going to get my Poetry of Gold award
and find its next home in the MMM Hall of Fame.

Outstanding verse.

Assonics, fragmented thoughts and lines
that bleed one into the next, expression,
delivery, close, it has it all. It's
such a human experience that any of us can
relate to from line one all the way down
the page.

"Congratulations Sweet One"

I don't hand this out often (either of them)
and I don't posture so I am overjoyed that
this morning I can honestly give this poem
the attention it deserves.

It thrills me to be able to do this.
