Subject: Unspoken Soliloquy

My fingers clench and cling
in the silent query of flourishing dances
to where I haunt the questions
that lay unanswered....

Will you dance in the well of my desire
flush from intention and bloom in my garden
where tended, each thorn and petal
clinging to the dew that your
touch unleashes?

Or should I ask the stranger of your soul
where a parched throat would sing
in tears and rain, deafened by fate’s
soliloquy?

Fragile and muffled,
aching whispers fall in rolling syllables
off your tongue and past the point
where sedition rules your seductive mouth
onto the shadowed flesh of my shoulder

Bruise-kisses hide the blood welling
of each bite hidden on the peach
where it lies fragrant and ripe
waiting to be plucked, reborn

I stand before you raw,
exposed to nature’s seasons
naked between the veils
of intoxication and resurrection
waiting for an answer that is only felt

and always unspoken....

Hello Christine

It's so, so good to read your wonderful words again.

The silence here is singing in shades of a yearning desire that is palpable, and wrought with a simmering, timorous passion.

Loved this so much.

Max

I may hve got this wrong but what I see is a young lady
Who loves a man who dosn't know it, so well put to the pen with imagery that you can see and smell

Well, I see your poetry hasn't suffered
from all the abuse you put the rest of you
through.

On second thought, (speaking from experience)
that's where the poetry comes from. From the
livin' of the life for sure.

Your pen is potent. I will have to read this
again later today to fully absorb it and that
in itself means it's a poem of some substance.

Good to have you back Christine.

((((~Andy~))))

The poetry has suffered right along with me, but I think it's better because of it. Absorbing me, huh? Hmmmm.....sounds like.....*laughing*....

Thank you for reading me, sir!

Such lonesome yearning you've painted in this passionate piece, Christine. Very well done, indeed.
