] Date Posted: 21:28:51 01/23/08 Wed The Roses Cried The gate, once opened, held beautiful things, there were treasures inside, among them a fountain of cascading beauty, as well as a bouquet blooming with roses of friendship and love, the garden was flowing with sincerity and truth, daily smiles were planted and laughter had blossomed beneath the glowing sun, willow trees of protection guarded the gate much like the gargoyles that stood upon the garden walls, but one day the trees rotted and fell, sincerity crashed and truth was revealed, true colors were showing as the roses bled tears, the treasures were no more and the friendship is gone, the beauty has faded and the fountain stopped flowing, the smiles have died and the roses cried, the gate has closed, barred shut without a key, but it doesn't matter, for that place, that place, no longer exists to me. © Jah 1-23-08 [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 21:57:13 01/23/08 Wed This is beautiful, my friend! Such a beautiful portrayal of love and friendship found, and lost...who knows, sometimes, why this happens...certainly not me! But you have captured the pain and loss with wonderful mental images....I will be back to read this...absolutely! It really struck a chord....just lovely! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 03:23:46 01/24/08 Thu Janel, Stand up and take a bow sweet friend. This is too beautiful to be able to do it justice in a comment. I grow evermore faithful to you as a fan, you are just perfect. If I never get the chance to buy a book of your work will be hugely disappointed, and the world will have lost BIG TIME. Thanks for your magic, love and hugs, Paul. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 04:57:41 01/28/08 Mon Hi Sweet One! I have a feeling I know the roots of this poem. Not all gardens last a lifetime but, it is always best to remember them in full bloom and forgive the passing of their colors. Will drop you an email later on today. Big hugs, andy [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 00:23:13 01/30/08 Wed Hello Janel A truly inspired capture of the overwhelming contentment, security and beauty felt within that garden, then, the harrowing depths of it all stripped away with the lies and deceit. Touches deep places in me. It is an awesome capture. Max [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
