] Date Posted: 02:13:33 01/18/08 Fri  On A Bad Day I Can See Forever After the day is done I am still searching for the light head tilting towards Orion waiting on the inevitable conclusion In the vortex of tornado thoughts my vinegar blood pushes the heart to pound fingers tapping keys, looking for a lost word in a sea of incomplete The peat moss of my recent poems dampens the day in a hushed PROTECT It's the silly-putty way of moving on one foot to the left, one to the right.... of wrong I am just a Slinky crashing down the treadless stairs Recently I came upon a clear thought like winter it hung too heavy I sat tight wishing it gone waiting on the spring to spring me into some other life where the air is light, fresh, and clean The Cardinals snap the berries I wonder why they too have not gone South I'm brimming to the rim with contradictions Yesterday, I was quite contrary There's not time today to explain It's far too late to change it anyway ajs .
