] Date Posted: 02:21:00 01/16/08 Wed See him standing there in his own world: A Frail Acquittal self imposed, it pennies up to the dull of chalk laying on some schoolroom floor remnants of a lesson plan all that's left after the black eraser claimed its rightful charge and then.......... there was only black! I have dusted the shelves of deceit only to find I must keep my cloth on my hip and close at hand I have ridden the waves of knaves their balls of fire always explode only to find they reinvent themselves as the dawn of a new day reminds me life was meant for better things In the bread basket of our lives where the only truth we know is told we settle ourselves in our own conclusions FRAIL ACQUITTALS: there are broad and worthy thoughts in the poets heart, waiting for release don't fancy me with your thesaurus I am not the candy in your drawer I need to feel your words as they expand Take me again to that place where I can feel your energy where your word-dance becomes something more than dead upon a page something larger than the space it keeps Let the thunder of your heart spill your blood upon your poem I celebrate the sighs you offer I celebrate the anger you rage I celebrate your good and bad intentions and every word upon your page There is a vague and constant calling something larger than the basis of this poem it whispers to me in the darkness reminding me that I am never quite alone There is a voice of ego that is deflated like the popping of balloons they whistle in the heavy air until gravity brings them down we are never quite defeated If we are not hunting for another shade of black I high step the day and break my daily bread for the lonely souls trapped in their own chains the sea-sawing blade of bald and lonely nights as the Vicars and the sinners sip their whiskey while the crow caws this poet to another poem These flavors of verse that run through boiling fingers that arrive here on their own, from somewhere undetermined like Brando, I have learned to ride the waves In the end, perfect is a state of mind I am going to have myself a bagel and be content that juice is something more than what fits into a store bought plastic cup ajs .
