Every girl who won my pageant deserved their win. Many titles were within one-tenth of a point or tied. I had one judge from Louisiana, two from Alabama, and one from Mississippi. I have participated in pageants in Louisiana and judged a few. I have met Lisa once in Walker. Her girls wins had nothing to do with who their coach is. It was everything to do with their beauty and stage projection…just as the winners from Mississippi and Alabama. Out of 22 titles, 11 of them were from Louisiana, 9 from Mississippi, and 2 from Alabama. I know of at least 4 of the Louisiana girls who were not Lisa’s girls!
To clarify my friendships…if it is any of your business. Through pageants I have formed friendships with many people. Most of these people are the parents of my contestants. Many are the parents of my daughter’s competitors. I met Lyza D. and her mom in December when she entered my pageant for the first time. At that time, the judges chose her as our 0 – 23 Supreme Queen. Since that time, I saw her at a pageant in Walker where Lyza took top titles in both of Michelle B. double header over very tough LA competition. I saw her in Slidell at a pageant where my daughter won over her. We have formed a friendship that is through email due to pageants. After one pageant, we took our girls to eat together. Am we the only pageant moms that wants our daughters to make friends with their competition?
Her mom has judged for me once…just like many other moms in Louisiana have judged for other directors. I try to get judges that do not know my contestants on a personal level. Her mom does not know my Mississippi girls. At that pageant, we only had local pageant kids.
If you want to say something about me or my pageant, that is fine. I expected to get bashed just like other successful directors. I do not appreciate you using my pageant bashing innocent children. By the way...I have no idea what ‘stays with me’ means.
There was a post regarding giving 10” crowns. That person said they were there last year. This was the 1st Adorable Miss Gulf Coast pageant. Every contestant did receive a beautiful 10” crown. I feel that every child who has the courage to get on stage and let 4 people they don’t know judge them is a winner. If I must explain myself, that was my reason for having the Adorable Miss Gulf Coast pageant to make all of the girls feel like winners.
As for me being a modeling coach…please email me my list of students as I have lost their names. I need their $1,000,000 session fee.
One last thing….Just so you know…I met my best friend when I attended college at SLU in 1995. Her name is Kristi..she lives in Houston, Texas and she has no children!
If you have any further questions, I will be happy to answer them via email at adorablemiss@bellsouth.net
