Not sure what your coach's point was in yanking down both your gym shorts and jockstrap. Seems a little weird as does having you bend over his leg. If we were wearing a jock when about to be paddled, we might have to drop our gym shorts but not our jockstrap. There was one coach who, if one of us got called to his office in the locker room after class, even told a kid who was nude to pull on a jockstrap first before coming to his office. I got called into a coach's office once along with two other boys in junior high and we knew to go immediately and not keep a coach waiting. We weren't in trouble, but thought that we might be. It was at the end of class so we were in the process of undressing for the showers. I was still in a jockstrap but the other two boys had undressed completely by then so all three of us immediately went to the coach's office as we were. I can't speak for the other two but I was petrified that we were about to get paddled. It turned out that he wanted to talk to us about joining the wrestling team or something like that. Scurried out of his office and immediately into the showers so that we weren't be late to our next classes. I look back and think that, if that happened today, a coach would never be able to explain why he had three boys in his office, two nude and one in a jockstrap, just to tell them something. Of course, there were plenty of boys who made that same trip to his office and got swats too.
