A phrase i wll remember all my life is the football coach saying at practice--"Youre busted" to any player it just meant you are getting paddled after practice--it had no other meaning---It was hard to go through the rest of practice knowing you were getting your bare butt paddled in front of other guys----You just bent over the bench bare -and he paddled your bare butt and it hurt alot

Like you Charlie--I got paddled bare as did my team mates after football practice---Anyone in the locker room could see you bend over bare assed and hold your ankles and he whipped your butt with a skinny paddle and he made it hurt--While I never cryed as I got it---I invaribly cryed later when all alone---or even in bed that night--only my brother knew why i had to cry--He probably saw me get it or saw my naked butt in our bedroom---he was great about understanding that it was just something I had to do--I normally was not a cryer---not when dad or mom paddeld us- even in high school yrs--If I got it bare from coach crying alone was a ritual Others may have been tougher----maybe I was the only cryer....mazybe i was not ???

the last writer said he did not cry during a bare paddling but always did cry later when alone---I was the same way in high school---My dad had to paddle me a few times through high school---and I only cryed later--- My coach also paddled me a couple times in high school football---in both cases bare and it did hurt. My dad always came into my room when i was about through crying even at 17---Actually we had good talks so I held no anger about those paddlings---coach was different---I cryed afterward but I was also angry at him----so while i was a guy who had to cry after a paddling---in one case I was not angry after and with coach i cryed cause I was angry
