Subject: RINGWOOD vs ST KEVINS Author: Sports Reporter [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 29/05/09 5:46pm PDT Hi all - lets get straight into it RESERVES When i saw the boys come out onto the park, i thought to myself defenatly 3 points today with Daniel M in defence and Rodrigo back after a long layout with injuries the midfield looked solid aswell. But same how they found themselves 1-0 down after 15 minutes. This didn't bother them cause they continued to dominate and attack from every angle. There was plenty of play makers with Rodrigo and Chris tormenting there defence and Rob and Cam working hard. There were plenty of chances but the one that stood out was when the speedy Rob S found himself one on one with the keeper, When the keeper relised that Rob had gone past him he decieded to bring him down just out side the box and found himself with a RED CARD. Second half started the same, with the opposition playing with 10 men we were doing all the attacking but against the run of play an error in the back line saw St Kevins make it 2-0. With them putting 8 players in defence for the last 20 minutes it was going to be tought to get the 3 points. With minutes remaining fresh legs of the bench Gary put one in the back of the net but it was abit to little to late 2-1 loss. Unlucky Boys SENIORS The firsts were travelling well without a loss so far and were in no mood in letting St Kevins an easy day. with Ringwood dominating all over the ground the reward came when Dave S got his head to the ball first and made no mistake and made it 1-0. With Ringwood cruising in first gear the second came when Tox sent the keeper the wrong way. Half time 2-0 Second half was the same St Kevins had no answers, the defence was solid midfield was on top and as usual Tox and Tully were to much for there defence. The third came later in the game when James out classed his opponent, played a clever ball to Tully who controlled it and shot towards goal only to see Tox waiting at the far post and made sure by tapping it in. 3-0 Once again clean sheet and 3 goals away from home.
