"winning isn't everything its the only thing"

Big weekend and alot to say - lets get into it.

RESERVES;
After last weeks performance the boys were determent to put last week behind them and focus on 3 points.
With Dave S in the squad we had another pair of brothers playing along side each other this season, With Ian M stepping up to seniors (due to injury to Matt) Allen D had to put on the gloves. Once again the boys were all over them from the start with plenty of chances. 15 minutes in against the run of play the referee awarded the home team with a very soft penalty. 1-0
But never say die attatude kicked in and the boys were ready to attack, with plenty of supply from Chris C in the middle and with speed on the wings - Stefan & Daniel M it ment that Dave S & Troy M were getting plenty of supply, and before you new it Dave S found the net twice in the space of 10 minutes. Half time 2-1 up.

Second half continued the same way with Ringwood dominated all over the park. 10 minutes in a free kick awarded outside the box - ideal for a left footer so up stepped Chris C, with plenty of swerve and power the ball sailed in the top corner (even Rinaldo would've been proud of that.)With minutes later having to take himself of and preper for the first the boys were determant to give there player coach a strong finish, and they did with Stefan scoring the forth and final goal. 4-1 Exellent perfomance lads.

SENIORS;
The boys were eager to continue there great run for the season, but Maniningham had other plans and decieded to put the presure on from the start. The home team found themselves 1-0 up after a cross from the left somehow cought everyone, even Ian in goals of gard only to see the ball fly in the net. 1-0 down.
With a tight game and no room for errors same how the referee awarded the home team a penalty, which they converted. 2-0 down.
Ringwood continued to attack and were rewarded when the inform James Van Gulik volleyed past there keeper to give Ringwood something to celebrate. 2-1 down.
But to Manningham's credit they found themselves back to a 2 goal lead due to poor marking. 3-1 down

With our backs to the wall and decisions not going our way Tully found himself in trouble with the referee and was sent marching for an early shower. Half time, down to 10 men and 3-1 down.
With the coaching staff having plenty to say to there players in the changing rooms the boys were not going to go down without a fight.
Second half the boys decided to attack and throw everything at Maningham, and the reward came when the skillful Tox danced past there defence and sent the ball across the face of goals only to see Rodrigo slot the ball home. 3-2 down with plenty of time.
Minutes later a goal scramble saw Ringwood fail to get rid of a loose ball only to see a long range shot go pass everyone and into the back of the net. 4-2 down.
However never say die attatude was still there. Ringwood decided to march on with still plenty of time on the clock, 5 minutes later the ball was picked up by Chris C in the middle of the park and sent a cheeky lob over there tiring defence only to see the clever Tox read it and make no mistake in slotting it past there keeper. 4-3 down.
The boys started to believe in themselves and new that they can get a result, and with minutes remaining James V Gulik got on the end of a loose ball and crack it from outside the box to see the ball loop over the keepers head. 4-4.
But the twiste to this story was during in the first half when Maniningham scored there third goal just before half time the referee had disallowed the goal, not relising cause everyone was focusing in the sending off to Tully. Which ment 3 points. Ringwood 4 - Maningham 3. magnifecent performace by everyone.
