"they came to Jubilee Park and and went home with there tails between there legs"

Welcome to another eventfull weekend.......

Reserves;
The biggest game off the year for the 2nds. They needed the 3 points to over take Dandenong warriors who were sitting on top by only one point. And the boys looked ready and determent to cause some pain. From the start once again they came out firing and it didn't take long to see a chain of passing and running create the first goal when Cam R slot home from close range the first for the afternoon. 1-0
The second came when Stefan, with some clever footwork on the left wing saw him take on the defence and only to see his shot hit the defenders hand to earn his side a penalty. Up stepped the reliable Chris C, and being cool, carm and collective he sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 2-0.
The third came from a clever free kick from 35 yards out, when Chris C sent in a low powerfull shot which saw the keeper unable to hold it, and as all strikers do Rob S pounced like a tiger to put it in an empty net. 3-0.
The boys where not done yet and the forth came when Chris C took an exellent left foot corner, only to see everyone miss the ball apart from Cam R who was waiting at the back post to slot home his second and Ringwoods forth. Half time 4-0
Second half Dandenong Warriors had no answers for this classy outfit. Ringwood continued to dominate all over the park. 10 minutes in a 50-50 contest saw Troy M taken out by there sweeper with a late challenge only to see the ref show a RED card to Danenong's defender. To there dis believe and nowing that they had no hope of getting a touch of the ball, they dicided to walk of the pitch and head to Springvale for some yum cha, when they were reminded that they will have to pay a hefty fine to the FFV. Meanwhile the ref was all card happy and decided to show another RED card to Troy M, not knowing what for and with a slight concusion and bleeding from the nose he had to came off the park for treatment and hoping that the ref would have reliesed his mistake and reverse the decission, no not this ref, after a lengthy wait the game restarted and with minutes in he showed another RED card to a Dandenong player for another late challenge. Not much was to happen for the remainder of the game, and ended 4-0. An exellent display and on top of the ladder.
SENIORS;
The first's were trying to put last weeks lose behind them and carry on there good form at home. And they did, playing with alot more confidence and moving the ball quicker, but somehow found it tough to break there solid defence. The boys created many chance and kept them to long distance shots, with the first half ending at 0-0
Second half the boys played more attacking, nowing that only a win will keep them on top of the ladder, with 20 minutes remaining some great work on the left side with Corey M and Tox exchanging passes saw Tox take the ball past there defenders and send in a low cross to Tully who had just come on as a sub to put the ball into an empty net. 1-0
10 minutes later this time some great work from Dave S who sent a through ball to Tully who before he could control it was brought down in the box for a penalty and a RED card for that defender. Once again they carried on abusing the ref and another RED card was shown to there keeper. With the ref not able to control the Dandenong players and coaches he decided to call the game off. Which means Ringwood win 1-0. Another exellent result and history in the making, its been a long time coming seeing both teams on top of the ladder. FANTASTIC
