 Why not just give her a safeword set, perhaps green, yellow, red and let her be in control? Once she has fully earned one, tell her she is going to get it. However, she has the ability to call it off. When or if she stops the spanking, you will tell her if she has paid her debt. If she hasn't and refuses to continue, then make it clear that she will not soon be offered another chance.

This will allow her to cope with the pain and also her fear that you won't continue to discipline her. Those will conflict mightily the first time. So, she can pause but if she stops and refuses to keep going, then a long wait for another chance.
