Hands up who never reads the long introductions? *counts raised hands* Right then - scroll straight to the bottom and I have 'quick stats' for you impatient people. Or you can read my pretty story - it's not even that long! One last note - Wyvenskies: The RPG isn't actually 'open' until the 20th of April. For now, I'm just advertising like crazy to generate some interest. So please, go and check out my purdy little site.
The sky seems perpetually dark and a thick haze hangs in the air. The whole land tastes of sulphur and everything is hot and harsh to feel. The land is scarred, burnt-out. The only things that are left are the rocks, the earth, and the twisted skeletal forms that once were trees. Now they are charred and black. Other skeletons were never trees, but they too are twisted beyond recognition. This is a world that has been burnt to the ground by…something. Again.
Finally rain falls, fat droplets send ash exploding up into the air. More water falls from the sky, and the fine gray powder settles onto the earth, creating a thick drab sludge. Days pass. Weeks pass. Now, green life is showing, fighting through to the surface. Vegetation grows quickly – the earth is well fertilised, by the ash and the bodies, and it is full of nutrients.
Years pass, and then animals return. Insects arrive first of all, and then come the small mammals, the birds, and the reptiles. Large animals are the last to find this life-filled haven. Open land, with clean air and lush grass and plentiful water. It is too good to be true. But the first do not care why such a land lies barren of major inhabitants, and the ones that arrive after that do not realise that once, this land was emptier than any land should be. And the ghosts that survive aren’t saying anything…
But it will return. They will return. And when they do this land will be bathed in fire once more. This land is called Incendia, land of Fire - though nobody knows what the name means. The language has been lost over countless numbers of years. The newcomers only know this country as…pristine, mundane.
When they arrive, through the Hole in the World, winged reptiles that breath fire - will you be ready to survive?

Reason for the name: I made a site 'geocities.com/dragonskies', forgot the password, so had to remake it using 'wyvenskies'. And no, I didn't spell 'wyven' incorrectly. *cough* Okay, so maybe I did, but it's wyven, rather than wyvern, from now until forever -pokes tongue-
