The steeds heart seems to fall. This steed asked for her hand, and well, he sincerely wished he had instead. Upon just meeting him, he could tell JP was a good steed. But now, the onyx steed, standing tall musters his energy, and doing the hardest thing he had ever tried, he speaks in a confident voice. First he turns to JP, Mind youm my new friend, I mean this with no offense. (he turns back to her, speaking sincerely)...
My dear and new friend, Firelight. Around you stand many great steeds-I shall not boast myself greater than them. But now, Firelight, just upon meeting you I see a mare of infinite greatness. A single minute with you, m'lady, has been heaven itself. (he chuckles and then smiles) Dont take me wrong, I still am an evil. (he grins, contining on, very serious) Firelight, m'lady, I would now hope that you shall see me, and your heart, your eyes, shall be as pleased as mine are upon sight of you. You are a wonderful mare, and though I know no mare should be 'won' so to speak, I wish you as mine, to love forever. We could see wonderful days, fight side by side, support you in all you do, have fun (he smiles at this hinking of their "bath") and, Firelight, more than anything it would be joy to me to spend my days treating you as a queen. You are a magnificent creature, m'lady. Please, I ask of you now, my heart most sincere. Firelight, if you so choose, will you be my mate?
He leaves off, voice trembling a bit, heart ready. It would be a most terrible wound if she refused, but he knew almost his life relied on asking. He saw her at once as an amazing mare, he knew no other could suit nor please him as did she. She was a mare to behold as well, both in looks and intellect. Now Poseidons Fury beared his heart to this mare, in front of all these steeds. Would this Firelight take him, as the strong and yet charming and loving steed, to be her mate?
