I think I have information on Mary E Sherwood. Somebody said her father was Nathan. I think it was Reuben. I don't know who her mother was. I believe she was born in Mamakating, Sullivan, New York in 1833. Her father Reuben married? about 1843 and had seven children. I don't know anything about the Indian story, but it could be her mother was an Indian. I don't think Reuben was. Like I said I know more about Reuben but not about Mary's mother. Reuben was born about 1808 so he could have easily have had children before he married Elizabeth and Mary E (Mariette) may have been one of these.
