Subject: Weight loss tips

Here are a few tips I used. Remember.....everyone is different & what works for me may not work for you. Keep experimenting & you will find what works best for you.

I started eating from a salad plate instead of a dinner plate.
Portion size does matter.
Stopped all the Pepsi (a six pack a day) & started drinking more water.
Use Sweet-n-Low in my coffee & tea.
LOTS of salads & NO FRIED FOOD.
DH diabetes means no pasta or potatos....I don't miss them near as much as I did.
The main thing is DON'T DENY YOURSELF. If you want cake, have some. Just don't have 1/2 the cake.

I'm sure you have noticed I post alot of dessert recipes. Most can be adapted for dieters/diabetics.

Example: Cake Mix....use applesauce instead of oil. I use egg whites or egg beaters instead of whole eggs. Frosting? Sugar Free Cool Whip!!!! Portion size.....3" square.

Thanks for the kind words about my weight loss. I never thought I could do it & now I know I can. I feel better & have more energy than I have had in 5 years.

Thanks for your tips! I also have tried to stay away from soda--even the diet. I drink alot of tea, hot and iced. I think I just need to get more exercise. I need to push myself away from the computer and sewing machine a little more often!! Which I will be doing as it gets nicer and nicer!

Any more hints? Anyone??? Where are you all hiding??
